This project is an example of "paradoxical problem solving" involving a reduction of square footage in order to increase the amount of usable space. After demolishing a 1950 addition, a reorganization and renovation of the original structure created a more functional layout. Replacing the addition with a garden terrace and business entrance minimized renovation costs and restored the historic building to its original condition. The new entrance consolidated the secular administrative and social functions into a single level, leaving the spiritual activities undisturbed upstairs.

“We are extremely pleased with the overall design and particularly with the way in which your use of natural lighting enhances the feeling of warmth and openness in the social hall and church offices.” – Pastor
