Eaglebrook School, situated on a mountain side in rural Western Massachusetts, is a shcool for boys in the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grades with an enrollment of 190 boarders and 70 day students. The school campus includes 22 buildings on more than 750 acres in historic Deerfield, MA. The Board of Trustees and School Administration working with OMR developed a Campus Master Plan with the specific objective of optimizing the use of the existing buildings and conserving and creating sources of sustainable energy.
The collaboration entailed an intensive program analysis, existing buildings analysis, adn a building/site analysis, the outcomes of which were transformed into options for a variety of buildings and areas of the campus. From the best of all the options, a comprehensive, integrated Campus Master Plan emerged that included recommendations for both general and specific improvements.
